In March we went to Africa so Deearne could play with lions for her 40th birthday. But, just before we departed a local wildlife park in Hobart got themselves some lions, to which (for a short time) they allowed access for personal lion encounters. Of course, this was after we had already paid for Africa, but we decided to have a pre-trip lion encounter in any event:
